First Class Signing Service is a top provider of mobile notary and remote online notarization services, supporting an extensive network of mobile notaries in Indiana, and across the United States, to assist you, your family or your business.
What Is Mobile Notary and Remote Online Notarization?
Commissioned by the governments of the states in which they operate, the fundamental purpose of notaries is to verify and authenticate important documents. While notaries may have considerable expertise in the preparation of certain legal forms, contracts and agreements, they are not lawyers and cannot dispense legal advice.
Mobile and remote online notaries perform all the functions of a traditional notary. But unlike a traditional notary, FCSS mobile notaries will travel to you anywhere in Indiana (notarizing documents on-site), and a remote online notary will connect with you online (notarizing documents in the virtual space). These methods add considerable convenience and value to the notarization process while maintaining high levels of security and validity.
Why Do People Use Mobile and Remote Online Notaries?
From loan and mortgage documents to wills, medical directives, and powers of attorney, people turn to notaries (mobile, remote online, and traditional) for a variety of reasons. When it is impractical or impossible to travel to a notary, mobile and remote online notarization becomes incredibly useful.
Furthermore, hiring mobile and/or remote online notaries can provide flexibility and streamline the document-signing process to save organizations considerable amounts of time and money. Regardless of the documents needed or the situation at hand, FCSS and its agents have the experience needed to provide services with the highest levels of professionalism, discretion and care.
How Do I Secure Mobile or Remote Online Notarization Services in Indiana?
The FCSS network of mobile and remote online notaries public in Indiana includes hubs in 10 of the state’s largest cities: Carmel, Evansville, Fort Wayne, Knox, Fishers, Bloomington, Hammond, Lafayette, Griffith and Indiana Lake. Beyond operating in these greater metropolitan areas, we extend notarization services to other regions across the state as needed.
Indiana law generally prohibits notaries from charging more than $10 per signature for most notary services. However, fees for many notary services are negotiable; additional reasonable charges can be levied for services attached to mobile and remote online notarization.
Contact FCSS today to discover just how easy and inexpensive mobile and remote online notarization can be. Our network of experienced notary agents are skilled at handling all types of documents that commonly require notarization with exceptional care and confidentiality.
How Do I Become a Notary in Indiana?
Any state-commissioned notary is encouraged to seek a place within the FCSS network of dedicated document specialists. All Indiana notaries must be at least 18 years old and either legally reside in the state or hold primary employment in the state. They must also be free of legal convictions and civil rulings that involve “deceit, dishonesty, or fraud.”
Individuals sentenced to a criminal sentence of more than six months are ineligible for a notary commission. Each Indiana notary must also hold a $25,000 bond certificate, take a notary training course and pass a final exam. After earning a commission, notaries must complete a continuing education course once every two years.
